We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, location, and profile details when you register, create a pilot profile, post a requirement, or contact us. We also collect technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to operate and improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and personalise the marketplace: to match clients with pilots, process hire requests and negotiations, send you service notifications and emails, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our products. Pilots confirm on their dashboard that they hold a valid licence; we do not ask for or verify identity documents. We may use aggregated, anonymised data for analytics and business purposes.
3. Sharing of Information
We share your profile information with other users only as necessary to provide the service — for example, a client can see the public profile of a pilot they are considering. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers (such as email and analytics providers) who help us operate the platform, and we may disclose information where required by law.
4. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, secure your account and remember your country. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the platform is used — which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and which features are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects online identifiers (including a truncated IP address) and usage data on our behalf as our data processor; IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not send your name, email address or other directly identifying details to Google. Analytics runs on all pages so we can keep improving the service; you can opt out at any time by blocking cookies or using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and the platform continues to work normally. 5. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, secure authentication and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. HireDronePilot does not collect, upload, store or share copies of Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence or any other identity document — not on this page, not by email, not anywhere. If a client needs to check your identity, you show your document to them directly. The only details we hold are the ones you type into your profile.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account information at any time by contacting us. You may also object to or restrict certain processing of your data where applicable law provides such rights — including asking us to unpublish your public pilot profile or to stop sending you non-essential emails.
